Hi all,
GREAT CHANGE CHALLENGE ENDS TOMORROW!
Last chance to check between your couch cushions, under the kids' car seats, in coat pockets, in the laundry room, etc... Will we make our goal of $1000? You and your children are welcome to join us right after school on Monday (12:30) when we take all our change up to First Federal and find out! Please wear your Swan School t-shirts and sweatshirts!
SPEECH SCREENING TOMORROW
If you would like to have your child participate in the speech and language screening tomorrow we need your permission slips turned in at drop off tomorrow. See the office if you need another copy.
SELL TREE CARDS THIS WEEKEND!
Sell your Plant-a-thon tree cards at the Farmers Market this Saturday anytime between 9:30 and 1:30. We'll have our own booth. Sign up sheet is in the office. Bring your cards and bring your kids-- they make great sales people!
CONFERENCES NEXT WEEK
We have a 12:30 dismissal on Monday and Tuesday and NO school on Wednesday next week. The teachers are all looking forward to meeting with you.
AFTER SCHOOL OPTIONS
If you are looking for something for your child to do between 12:30 and 3:30 next Monday and Tuesday, Loida will be doing her Character Counts class on Monday ($15 for one-time session, $10 as part of the prepaid series) and Diane will be doing art on Tuesday for $16. Please have your kids bring a lunch on those days! Also, Debra "Jade" Addae will be staring a dance class on Tuesdays and Thursdays here after school at 3:30. She was here for PE this week and the kids had a blast! Enrollment forms are in your folders. Sign up sheets for ALL classes are in the office!
PLANTATHON CREW LEADERS STILL NEEDED
There are still a few openings left for Plant-a-thon crew leaders - it is an easy job: just help folks remember that the roots go down and the salmon come up... ;-) Sign up in the office.
MORE PLANTATHON THOUGHTS...
"We've been doing this for 6 years now. The tiny whips of trees Isaac planted as a 5th grader are now 6' high and growing fast. The kids that tumbled in the mud as toddlers at that first tree-planting are now serious diggers, and kids like Isaac are now crew leaders, teaching the younger kids how to do it. It's been a joy to watch this unfold over time." -- Former OPEPO family
